Welcome!
| Granola Ingredients |
When I started out in 2010 I was a vendor at several local farmer's markets. As the season progressed, one of the farmers that would pass my tent every Saturday would greet me pleasantly with "Good Morning Granola Goddess". Since then, I have been lovingly called the Granola Goddess, a nickname (if I do say so myself) is really fun!
I wanted to start a blog to talk about what is really important to me and close to my heart - food and how important it is to eat well and eat locally. Living in Dutchess County, N.Y. has afforded me this incredible opportunity to have access to an abundance of beautiful fruits & vegetables, meats, cheeses, eggs, raw milk as well to small food producers such as myself hand baking in small batches. We also have local maple syrup farmers, coffee roasters, distilleries, and breweries. It's awesome!
The photo above is picture of the basic ingredients used in my granolas. All really "good for you" ingredients like: whole grain oats, organic flaxseed meal, organic oat bran, raw pepitas, raw sunflower seeds, raw almonds, raw walnuts, local organic pure maple syrup and local unsweetened pure apple juice.
I hope you enjoyed this first post. I plan to post about all things local and WholeyOats. Follow the Granola Goddess on Pinterest as well!
Have a beautiful day :)
